Everest
Base Camp Trek being very popular region one can trek solo, as there are lots
of fellow trekkers through out the trail. It is well developed and in most of
the part there is mobile reception. Trail is well marked and extremely good
even at the elevation of five thousand meter from sea level. One need to obtain
FIT TIMS Card from Kathmandu where as Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit can
be collected directly from Monjo, i.e. Park Headquarter. Altitude is a major
obstacle for Everest Base Camp Trek so if you are going Everest Trek Without
Guide then you must have proper insurance, always leave your information to
hotel where you stay in Kathmandu as well as inform your embassy and your
insurance service providers before you leave. If you are going for some high
passes in Everest region then it is not recommended to go single as famous
Chola Pass in Everest is technically danger and in worse weather condition it
is very hard to identified the trail when covered by snow. Similar is the case
of Renjo La Pass and Khongma La Pass.
Always trek with friend or guide and try to follow some other groups.
